My grandfather, Avard Mann competed in three Briers.  Our son, Craig won the Word Junior Championship in 1988, and Craig’s daughter, Karlee won the World Junior Championship in 2016.  Judy was the coach and fifth for the World Senior’s Champions of 2010.

I am a Level 3 coach and coached juniors for 35 years.  I have coached at 6 Canadian Juniors with one Champion who won bronze at the World’s.  I also coached at 2 Briers, one Scotties, and one CIS.  I was President of the Club in 1977.  In addition I was on the Ice Committee for 3 years, the Match Committee for 8 years and on the Provincial Committee for 8 years.  I also was a Boy Scout leader for 15 years.

In 1972, Judy and I played in the Canadian Mixed, and we have played in many provincials.  Judy and I were inducted into the Nova Scotia Hall of Fame.  We are also both Honourary members of the Truro Curling Club.
