Doug Kreviazuk

Hello I am Doug Kreviazuk, long time resident of Ottawa, Ontario and a member of the Ottawa Hunt and Golf club.

After a 34 year career, most recently as an Executive in the Banking industry, I changed paths, establishing and operating my own consulting firm.  The flexibility of this change allows me the time to devote to the activities I love such as curling.

Married for 36 years to my life-long partner, Janice (a wee lass from Motherwell Scotland), we have three remarkable daughters: Alison, Lynn and Cheryl.  For much of this time, curling has been a large part of our lives, providing life lessons and instilling a wonderful set of personal values.

Over the past twenty years I have held numerous board-related positions within my local curling clubs, regional association and currently as Board Chair of the Ontario Curling Association.

With three daughters active in the sport, I also became actively involved in youth events and competitions.  Between 2004 and 2011, I was the Chairman of the most prestigious youth bonspiel in Canada, the OVCA Junior SuperSpiel, held in Ottawa.

As a parent and coach I am most proud of the fact that all three daughters have worn the Maple Leaf on their backs, representing Canada in world competition on seven separate occasions and I as coach at the World Universiade (silver medallist 2015).

While winter is largely devoted to curling, the summers are filled with golf and motorcycle riding.  In the summer of 2017 I completed a cross Canada ride by myself, logging more than 11,000 kms and experiencing much of what Canada has to offer.
