Hi. I'm from Calgary, Alberta.

I worked for Shell Canada for almost 34 years in various Engineering and senior business positions. My assignments had us relocating from Toronto to Vancouver and Calgary in Canada. We also lived 4 years in London, UK, which allowed us to travel extensively in the UK and to visit many other countries.

I retired at the end of 2007 and started a consulting company doing project management and business analysis for human resources projects. I married my high school sweetheart, Diana, in 1975 and we have 2 lovely daughters, 1 son-in-law and a very cute granddaughter.

I curl out of the Garrison Curling Club (mixed league with my wife and daughter) and the Calgary Curling Club (men's league).

I learned to curl as an adult in a Shell recreational league in Toronto. I developed a real love of the sport. A highlight for me was placing 3rd in the provincial championships for Masters in 2014, but perhaps the most memorable experience was playing the visiting Scots in 2013. I've been waiting for this tour ever since!

I am a career volunteer - Residents' Association for 15 years, Westside Recreation Centre Director for 8 years, Garrison Curling Club Director for 7 years, Southern Alberta Curling Association Director (current), and multiple casinos for curling clubs and ski clubs. I have taken up golf, that diabolical game, and I like to play bridge and darts. But most of all, I love to curl!
