Hi, I’m from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia


A retired Naval Officer currently on contract to the Department of Defence, I curl out of CFB Halifax Curling Club where I have been President on three different occasions. As Director of Competitions, Nova Scotia Curling Association, I Co-Chaired the Heartstop Lounge during the 1992 Scott Tournament of Hearts, was VIP-Hosting during the 1995 Halifax Brier and VP-Keith’s and Purple Heart Lounge during the 2005 Canadian Curling Trials in Halifax. I curled against the Scots incoming tours in 1983, 1993 and 2003.

Served as Host for CFB Halifax in 1993 including morning classes and in 2003 I organized rooms, morning classes, the Opening Reception and Host Banquet at CFB Halifax.
In other sports I won a gold medal at the 1985 Canadian Broomball Championships, a silver medal in the 1999 Canadian Masters Paddling Championships and a bronze medal at the 2002 Canadian Senior Fastball Championships.
Locally I have been involved in the Tall Ships festival, the Halifax International Air Show, the United Way and the BMO Canadian Women’s Open Golf in 2005.
Other hobbies and interests include coaching the Nova Scotia Junior Women’s Championship team in 2007, hunting, fishing and just being a volunteer.
