Hi, I’m from Peterborough, Ontario

A retired salesman, I curl out of the Peterborough Curling Club.

Born in Flin Flon, Manitoba , I was on the runner-up team in the Manitoba High School Championships in 1954 and runner-up in the University of Saskatchewan finals in 1958. After moving to Toronto in 1960 I joined the Dixie Curling Club and went on to play in the 1966 Brier in Halifax where I was once again runner-up! Since then I have competed in numerous Ontario Curling Association and Toronto Regional Bonspiels.
From an organizational perspective, I have served on numerous committees including the Toronto Sunlife Junior Bonspiel Committee from 1982-1987, Club Representative for the 1986 Toronto World Curling Championship, Toronto Masters League 1997-2004, Chair, Tam Heather Seniors Bonspiel 2001-2004 and the Whitby Provincial Men’s Championship 2005.
I have participated in the Scots tour to Canada in both 1993 (Thornhill) and 2003 (Scarboro Golf and Country Club) and have always dreamt of playing in the Strathcona Cup in Scotland since my grandfather returned from the 1950 tour with two miniature granites and never ceased to talk about the wonderful experience he had and the many friendships he developed.
In addition to curling I enjoy maintaining and gardening at the cottage, golf, swimming and duplicate bridge.
